After several successful collaborations we realized that there’s a problem with current urban design, namely - where can people go to get custom made objects for their home, office, & outdoor spaces? Where others try to sell you out of the box solutions for your home, we provide design and sculpture solutions that are custom tailored to you. Where most people see problems, we see solutions.
They say life is full of surprises & I would agree. Art has given me all of the best things in my life. It has introduced me to new people & ideas, taken me to Canada & Europe, & pretty much surprised me at every turn. These experiences have taught me the need to always think bigger, not necessarily in physical terms but in taking ideas & possibilities to the limit, & then when you reach those limits to try & find a way to go further. Sculpture has given me the ability to change the world around me.
After painting and drawing for years, Kristen Arden first started working with metal as an art medium in 1998 at the California College of Arts in Oakland, CA focusing on fabricating, bronze casting and installation.
In Mid-2003 she moved to Minneapolis and soon after found her studio in the Northrup King Building. Since then Kristen’s been developing different series of work, such as the Earthworks, Compartment, Tectonics, Full Circle and Topographic Map Series, as well as accepting commission work, custom furniture and fabricating jobs.
In 2009 she had two solo shows and is now continuing to work on new series of work started while working on those shows, as well as continuing her commission work. She is looking forward to the installation of her 12’ sculpture in a local commercial lobby in May of 2010.
